Help Wanted!

So you want to join one of the most active, interesting groups of anime bloggers out there? You want to contribute to a blog with a burgeoning readership and ever-increasing industry presence? You want to make connections that will last the rest of your career?

Then we think we've got a spot for you here at Ani-Gamers. We are a volunteer, team-run blog with an open, inviting atmosphere. As a member of our team, you will create content seen by hundreds of visitors per day. While we do not offer pay, we do offer benefits including (but not limited to): review copies of anime, manga, and games, free admission to conventions and trade shows, chances to meet and interview celebrities and industry insiders, and much-needed career exposure. (Some of our writers have gone on to contribute to such paying publications as GamePro, GameSpot, and About.com.)

Here's what we look for in a writer:

• Has a deep love for anime, manga, and/or video games
• Can look critically at the above media and their own opinions of those media
• Is an experienced, skilled writer
• Can dedicate time to writing and can keep up with deadlines

While we are looking for contributors in any area (and we welcome any and all new coverage ideas), these are the particular spots that we are looking to fill:

• Anime/Manga News Writers
• Manga Reviewers
• Editors
• Writers/editors who are fans of shōjo, yaoi, yuri, or moé

When you sign up, please send us these four things:

1. Your name, email address, and the position(s) you are applying for
2. A brief biography of yourself. Include history of your anime/manga/game fandom, previous jobs, educational background, hobbies, or whatever else you want.
3. A rough estimate of how much time you can spend a week working for us.
4. One to three samples of the type of work you are applying for. Show us your best work!

Don't worry too much about things like schedule, age, or educational background. What matters most is that you're a good writer. We eagerly await your application!
