LEGO Universe Trailer

Kotaku, blogging from the NetDevil event tonight in Louisville, Colorado, have got their hands on an exclusive video. The LEGO MMO "LEGO Universe," which was formally announced a few weeks ago, now has a concept trailer to go with its name. And boy does this look cool. I've always been both a LEGO and an MMO fan, so I can't wait to see this game in action.

Microsoft hosts Global Warming Development Contest

It seems that somebody is following Doug Lowenstein's advice, as Microsoft has recently announced a game development contest called the Games for Change Challenge for college students to make games with real-world significance. They have chosen the touchy subject of global warming for the topic. All games must be made in Microsoft's XNA Game Studio Express program, and the winners might even be used with Xbox Live Arcade or Games for Windows Live Arcade.

This is a great decision on the part of Microsoft, and I'm very interested in seeing some of these games. How do you think someone would incorporate global warming into an interesting game?

Jack Thompson Strikes Again!

Of course, everyone knows that Jack Thompson is an idiot and is just in it for the money and because the chances are that he will win. Since his debut, he has been involved in countless video gaming lawsuits and even sued Kotaku for criticising him. Goodbye American morals. People like Jack Thompson just cant shut up. Oh yea and he's suing Rockstar (as usual) by calling Manhunt 2 a "murder simulator." Plus, he even got a senator to back him up. What kind of nonsense is this? It is just a game isn't it?
