BioWare, acclaimed developers behind such games as Mass Effect and the original Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, are returning to their career-defining franchise after KotOR II: The Sith Lords was handed over to Obsidian Entertainment (much to the chagrin of fans).
According to an EA investor report (remember, they bought BioWare), "KOTOR" is listed as one of BioWare's ongoing projects. As many hoped, EA and LucasArts are kissing and making up just fine after EA's controversial BioWare-Pandemic purchase. And why not, with a massive cash cow in a galaxy far far away just WAITING to be milked?
EDIT 1: EA responded to Joystiq, claiming that they never actually confirmed that BioWare was working on a new KotOR game, but simply listed the game in their portfolio of past titles. However, seeing as there is a confirmed LucasArts/BioWare collaborative game as well as a confirmed new BioWare MMO, it's safe to say that Knights of the Online Republic has a pretty good rating on the rumorometer.
