We are Ani-Gamers, a Japanese pop culture blog and podcast dedicated to providing top-notch commentary and criticism on anime, manga, and video games both old and new. Officially opened to the world on May 29, 2004 as a small anime fansite called Anime Paradise, the project has now grown into a regularly updated journal of pop culture coverage.

Of course, you're probably wondering what separates Ani-Gamers from the myriad other anime blogs on the Internet. It's really quite simple: We do not treat our site as a diary of random thoughts. Everything on Ani-Gamers is planned out by a contributor and approved by an editor, and all major articles must go through at least one level of rigorous editing before they ever reach the eyes of you, the readers. Despite this, we dedicate ourselves to a depiction of the wide range of fan interests, as evidenced by our diverse group of writers and the freedom that they are granted to come up with new article ideas or review topics.

Finally, we take media seriously here at Ani-Gamers. We are firm believers that, by blogging and podcasting about the things that make anime, manga, and games great, we can promote a deeper appreciation of each of these media, and help push our community to think harder about the stories they consume. (Of course, we also know when to kick back and poke fun at the sillier things in otaku culture.)
